In 2012, the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester (BCD) region completed OurRegion OurPlan (OROP), a regional vision plan. The plan included a multi-modal transportation vision with specific transit recommendations aimed at improving and expanding the existing transit system. Building on that plan, the Regional Transit Framework Plan (RTFP) helped define how the region will establish a true multi-modal transit-rich network. The results of this study were incorporated into the region’s Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and helped set the stage for future premium transit infrastructure.
