Foursquare ITP is developing a five-year TDM Growth Plan that focuses on strategies to help the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) achieve its goal of a 20 percent reduction in single-occupancy vehicle (SOV) trips. To encourage sustainable commuting, NCTCOG partnered with Agile Mile to launch Try Parking It, an app that offers trip planning and rewards users for logging their green trips. Foursquare ITP was brought on to help create an employer outreach strategy that would drive adoption of and engagement with the app.
Leveraging its expertise in Transportation Demand Management (TDM), community engagement, and geographic information systems (GIS), Foursquare ITP conducted a regional analysis and crafted a comprehensive strategy to promote Try Parking It and elevate broader TDM programming. The team produced tailored marketing materials and a Workplace Commute Toolkit to help employers develop commute programs and assist employees with sustainable commuting options. The resulting strategic plan will help NCTCOG focus its outreach resources effectively and provide a framework for measuring program success.

- Conducted a regional TDM assessment to identify “hot spots” where NCTCOG will target its employer outreach efforts.
