Commuter Connections is the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ (COG) regional transportation demand management (TDM) program, spanning jurisdictions across the Washington, DC, region, each of which generates its own performance data for its TDM programs and strategies. COG needed a centralized tool to monitor and communicate that performance, one that could update in real time while sharing only the data relevant to each stakeholder.
Foursquare ITP is designing and implementing a dynamic Power BI dashboard that integrates program data, defines clear stakeholder permissions, and provides tailored, jurisdiction-filtered views. The team will establish sustainable data processes and transfer the system to COG for long-term use.
The dashboard gives COG and its stakeholders reliable, accessible insights into program performance, enabling more efficient management and stronger regional coordination. It provides COG staff with a primary internal view and customized views for external stakeholders, improving transparency and communication through tailored access.
