Foursquare ITP leads the team that operates goDCgo, the District Department of Transportation’s (DDOT) transportation demand management (TDM) program. goDCgo provides complimentary transit resources and consulting services to employers, multi-family residential properties, K-12 schools, large event organizers, and individual commuters in DC. The program’s goal is to increase the use of sustainable transportation modes to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and create a better quality of life in the DC area. The goDCgo team, led by Foursquare ITP, is responsible for planning, implementing, improving, and expanding upon the program’s offerings.

Our team has successfully administered a wide range of tasks for goDCgo while growing and expanding the program. We have fostered new relationships with key public and private sector partners throughout the District to leverage opportunities to expand the program’s reach. We continued to support compliance with the DC Commuter Benefits Law and DC Parking Cashout law. In addition, we’ve expanded the program’s services to increase adoption of TDM Strategies for large events, incorporated equity into all programs, and hosted a successful bike incentive program.

The team also provides marketing and communications support including the creation of digital content, posting/sending e-newsletters, blogs, and supporting social media, and facilitates several marketing and outreach campaigns and events throughout the year that encourage DC residents, employees, and visitors to use sustainable transportation.

As a result of our work, in collaboration with DDOT, the Foursquare ITP team has helped more than 37,000 people choose sustainable transportation options when commuting to work and removed the equivalent of 41,000+ cars off the roads daily by promoting active transportation and public transit to the city’s commuters, residents, and visitors.
