Yuewen Dai

Yuewen is passionate about leveraging data-driven approaches to reshape the way we design and analyze our cities. She enjoys exploring the interaction between urban environments and their inhabitants. Moreover, her aim is to bridge the gap between individuals and information technology, ensuring they have a profound understanding of the urban landscapes they reside in.

Yuewen (she/her) is a transportation planner and data scientist at Foursquare ITP. She is proficient in data analysis, map application development, and geospatial data manipulation. During her master’s studies, she participated in several policy analysis projects. Notable works include transit-oriented development analysis, taxi trip feature studies in New York City, and trend and prediction analytics for Philadelphia’s bike share. Beyond theoretical knowledge, she excels at using her technical skills to deliver tangible solutions to clients.

Before her journey into data science, Yuewen pursued architecture, emphasizing design and planning strategies to tackle urban challenges. The transformation from design to data has equipped her with a multifaceted perspective, enabling her to integrate various disciplines seamlessly. Her experiences across different areas underscore her passion for learning and adaptability to challenges. At Foursquare ITP, she is poised to leverage her diverse skills for meaningful contributions.
