Bloomington Transit voiced a need for a new strategic framework to identify strategies and prioritize those to meet the mobility needs of the region in coming years. Bloomington Transit has never had a strategic plan, so it was up to us to guide them through the process step-by-step to ensure the plan was addressing everything they envisioned for the future. Because of our experience we were able to provide expert knowledge and advice on what would work best for an agency of their size.
Foursquare ITP brought together a diverse group of stakeholders to develop a consensus around a vision, mission, and goals for the agency. In the coming years, Bloomington Transit is expected to expand its service, upgrade its facility and transition to battery electric buses, and implement new technologies and employee-supportive initiatives. In the end, we were able to develop Bloomington Transit’s first ever strategic plan to guide its decision making during a period of expansion and innovation.
