Kate loves spending time outdoors with her partner and her dog, and firmly believes you should “Be the change you want to see in the world.” She aims to use her own experiences of being a pedestrian, biker, transit rider, and electric vehicle driver in the national capital region to inform her work in effectively promoting multi-modal mobility and supporting a more sustainable community.

Kate Roetzer, ENV SP, is a results-oriented transportation and environmental policy expert with over 15 years of experience advancing climate-forward policies at the congressional, federal, state, and local levels. Kate has extensive experience in policy analysis, strategic advocacy, and stakeholder engagement, and is skilled at translating complex policy into accessible messaging to help build consensus and influence outcomes. She has proven success in securing public funding, crafting effective communications, and mobilizing coalitions to drive public good. Kate is passionate about finding equitable solutions to address climate change, promoting sustainable mobility, and fostering resilient communities.
