Headshot of Clifton McFarlane

When not working, Clifton enjoys his time hanging out with friends, finding new food spots, playing softball, and volunteering with Trees Atlanta.

Clifton McFarlane (he/him) is a transportation planner with a graduate degree in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech. His previous work experience includes the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), KB Advisory Group, the Atlanta Beltline, and the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transportation Authority (MARTA). Notable work includes developing a standard operating procedure (SOP) for land banking, creating the Affordable Housing Dashboard for the Atlanta Beltline, and a capstone project on Affordable Housing Typologies along the Atlanta Beltline. Although his background was in housing and economic development, he was excited for the opportunity to work at MARTA and enter the transportation planning field for the first time. His work on the NextGen Bus Network Redesign at MARTA provided him with valuable experience in service planning, community engagement, and policy development.
