Foursquare ITP worked collaboratively with CapMetro to develop a vision plan to guide the strategic thinking of who CapMetro is, who it wants to be in the future, and how it will get there. We were hired to help the CapMetro team work through the process of articulating what they need to do, and how they will approach a future, full of both possibilities—including major service expansion—and uncertainties.
We worked with our client to conduct a variety of engagement activities—interviews, focus groups, workshops, departmental meetings, board updates, and more—to combine their ideas and inputs to with our team’s ideas and perspective to develop a plan that meets the agency’s needs.
Employees were able to coalesce around four critical results that articulate where the agency is going and how their role in the agency relates to it. As a result of our efforts, the plan easily achieved buy-in from senior leaders and the board, and we set CapMetro up to track progress toward implementing the actions in the plan.
