Riley is passionate about the connection between the built environment and quality of life. While living in Milan, Italy, for a semester of college, Riley experienced a culture that relied on public transportation to thrive. There, she witnessed how it brought people together and fostered a strong sense of place. Being part of that environment inspired her desire to cultivate a similar sense of community here.
Riley Bucholz (she/her) is a TDM outreach coordinator at Foursquare ITP dedicated to improving the systems that shape our communities through sustainable and equitable transportation solutions. She is passionate about advancing policies and practices that challenge the status quo through education and by encouraging choices that support the well-being of both people and the planet. Prior to joining Foursquare ITP, Riley worked at ALIVE! Alexandria, coordinating with food pantries and community partners to provide essential support to families facing food and housing insecurity. She brings strong outreach and coordination experience, along with a deep commitment to accessibility, equity, and community service to her work.
