Sandy is passionate about bringing people together to broker solutions to common problems. She loves that her work involves incorporating diverse perspectives, ranging from political leaders to bus operators to residents traveling to work.
Sandy Brennan (she/her) is a vice president and senior project manager. She began her transit career working for a suburban transit agency in Maryland before transitioning to consulting. At Foursquare ITP, she played a key leadership role in planning and implementation support for BaltimoreLink, the complete system redesign for the city’s transit. She continues to support the Maryland Transit Administration in short- and mid-range planning efforts, scheduling, performance monitoring, and corridor planning. While at Foursquare ITP Sandy has also helped develop our service planning and transit operation practices. Her expertise is in service planning, microtransit planning, service change implementation support, fleet and facilities planning, and workforce planning. She has also led several national research projects for TCRP and APTA on topics ranging from fleet planning to workforce. Currently, Sandy is leading national research for TCRP to understand the challenges and best practices for transit operator CDL training programs. Prior to joining Foursquare ITP, Sandy worked for Central Maryland Regional Transit (CMRT).
