Israel is passionate about community-centered work and finding ways to bring sustainability into transit, his hobbies, and daily life. Outside of his TDM work, he enjoys getting around Atlanta by e-bike, hiking, traveling, and discovering new restaurants.
Israel Negrete-Abreu (he/him) is a transportation demand management (TDM) coordinator at Foursquare ITP. He holds a Business Administration degree from Emory University, with a concentration in Organization and Management and a second major in International Studies. His background includes nonprofit volunteering in college and early work supporting educational programming for Atlanta nonprofits serving refugee and immigrant communities. He later served as a program coordinator at Propel ATL, an Atlanta-based sustainable transportation advocacy nonprofit, where he coordinated cycling education programming and supported tactical urbanism and safe streets initiatives. Israel is a certified League Cycling Instructor (LCI) and continues to teach with Propel ATL. His work centers on building relationships across sectors to advance safe, accessible mobility for all.
