Dalia Leven has 20 years of experience planning for the future of multimodal mobility. Her work focuses on transit planning and analysis, long-range planning, and travel demand forecasting. She has experience leading projects of all scales around the country, including multiple large-scale regional bus system redesigns, corridor studies, and long-range plans. She is especially proud of her two decades of work across the DMV region (her hometown), leading major studies and plans for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), VIrginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG), Maryland Transit Authority (MTA), Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT), Northern Virginia Transit Authority (NVTA), Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC), and many additional local governments. Throughout her work, Dalia uses her unique expertise to combine the technical areas of forecasting, planning, and engineering to distill complex analyses for decision-makers and the public in a way that is understandable and useful. Some of her recent project work has included managing WMATA’s first-ever bus network redesign, developing Northern Virginia’s first BRT Action Plan for the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA), and developing scenario planning tools to study the potential long-term impacts of new technologies and policies on the transportation system for a number of agencies around the country.
