Sofie Rhoads AICP (she/her), is a Senior Transportation Planner who developed a passion for the planning profession after years of living abroad. At Foursquare ITP, Sofie has worked on TDM projects for Westchester County, NY and Downtown Columbia, Maryland; guidebooks for CTAA’s National Center for Applied Transit Technology; and Transit Cooperative Research Program reports. She also leads the company’s Transportation Demand Management service area.

Prior to joining Foursquare ITP, Sofie worked at the American Association of State and Highway Officials (AASHTO) as the Associate Program Manager for Environment. In this role, she served as a staff liaison to AASHTO’s Council on Active Transportation and managed a portfolio of environmental topics. During her graduate studies, she worked at the state (housing) and local (planning) levels in addition to numerous extracurricular activities that took her to Toronto, Canada and St. Petersburg, Russia to work on student planning projects.
