Sandy Klanfer is a transportation planner with a focus on public engagement. He is particularly interested in the ways in which stakeholder feedback can deepen the insights gleaned from quantitative data analyses and promote equitable outcomes. Prior to joining Foursquare ITP, Sandy worked for the City of Philadelphia, supporting the city’s first Open Streets event, a federally-supported design charrette to improve safety and connectivity across an interstate highway, and its Indego bikeshare program. Before beginning his career in transportation planning, Sandy worked in communications, most recently expanding the reach of a college scholarship program in the DC area.
