Marc Szarkowski engages in transportation planning and urban design at Foursquare ITP, including transit route planning and costing, transit corridor planning, station, stop, and facility design, and both stylized and GIS mapping. Marc creates 3D models and illustrations, visualizations and renderings, maps and infographics, and various other graphics. Marc’s key projects at Foursquare ITP include bus stop and station concepts for SORTA in Cincinnati, a transit-oriented development (TOD) master plan for the Amtrak station in Lancaster, PA, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s (JTA) Reimagine bus network redesign, and the MTA Interborough Express (IBX) corridor study. Prior to joining Foursquare ITP, Marc was an embedded transportation planner at the Maryland Transit Administration where he worked on numerous transit and urban design projects, most notably the 2017 BaltimoreLink bus network redesign.
