Jerome A. Horne (he/him/his) is a Transportation Planning Communications and Engagement Specialist at Foursquare ITP. Seen as a great communicator and ambassador for the transit industry, Jerome has presented at several industry conferences, on various webinars, and on numerous transportation podcasts. Previously he was the Ridership Experience Specialist at the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (IndyGo). In that role he worked on revamping IndyGo’s wayfinding program, focusing on better ways to get information to riders and figuring out innovative solutions to integrate technology into the system. Prior to this, he was the Special Projects Coordinator focusing on outreach and research for the agency’s capital projects and updating the service standards for fixed-route buses. He joined IndyGo in 2016 as the Community Engagement Coordinator where he successfully started the Transit Ambassador Program which is a group of trained volunteers who assist with outreach and communication efforts dealing with IndyGo service improvements and changes. He was heavily involved with engagement efforts, including outreach strategy and planning, for the Marion County Transit Plan and Red Line Bus Rapid Transit Project. Recognized for his passion and dedication to the industry, he was recently named a Mass Transit Magazine 40 Under 40 honoree in 2020 and an American Public Transportation Association Emerging Leader Class of 2022 member.
