Foursquare ITP used the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Simplified Trips-on-Project Software (STOPS) travel demand model to predict the ridership and travel flow impact for two transit scenarios. These scenarios included the introduction of two new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) routes and associated feeder bus services on the existing EMBARK Transit System in Oklahoma City, OK. This project consisted of creating the build and no-build GTFS feeds for both BRT alternatives, and the customization of mode split and assumed socioeconmic parameters. As well as the compilation of detailed data inputs, including aggregating travel flow data into specially designed districts, conducting multiple model runs, providing data/result validation, and closely coordinating with the client on data needs and model results.
