Foursquare ITP, as the manager of the new Arlington County Transit Development Plan consulting effort, delivered a 10-year plan that was adopted by the County Board in July, 2016.  Foursquare went beyond the extra mile in the public engagement process, in accordance with “The Arlington Way” – four waves of public engagement using a variety of techniques, as well as intense work on presentations for those waves and for County Board presentations.  They took hold of creative solutions and applied them in consultation with County staff to offer an array of solutions in a bus-centric environment.  These include Premium Transit Network service, Primary Transit Network, Secondary Transit Network, and On-Demand “Flex” services.  The first two offer high-frequency service – Premium with facility enhancements – on major corridors, along with limited stop overlay routes to compete with automobile travel times.  The latter two supplement with neighborhood transit coverage solutions, enabling the County to serve 95% of the County’s residents.  Over the next ten years, these solutions will meet the transit needs of Arlington County residents, employees, visitors and those travelling through to/from the District of Columbia in general – and for the highest-volume transit corridor in Virginia (Columbia Pike), in particular.Steve Yaffe, Transit Services Manager, Arlington County Transportation Division

The staff consistently deliver with such a high level of professionalism and an exceptional work product. The Title VI Program Development task is simply the latest of the many tasks that have exceeded expectations…Tom Hewitt, Director of Service Development, Maryland Transit Administration

The work quality was excellent and meticulous. The final product was gorgeous.Transit Agency Client

[President & CEO] Lora [Byala] attracts the brightest and most passionate stars onto her team. Every one of them is (and I say this with affection and love) a wonky, geeky but fun transportation professional. They all get it. And they feed off of each other. And when they are in the room they lift the game of your team too. That’s what’s so cool. They helped us see our organization in a different, more important light. And with that we were able to imagine and do great things as a result. They made us look damn good and professional – because they were!Chris Hamilton, Former Bureau Chief, Arlington County Commuter Services
